Atlanta police Friday arrested one man and expect another to turn himself in for their involvement in the fatal shooting of a clerk at a Lee Street convenience store.

Yusef Cantrell , 27, of Atlanta was arrested around 6 p.m., said Lt. Keith Meadows, commander of the Atlanta Police Department’s homicide unit.

Investigators acted an on anonymous tip that led them to an acquaintance’s home on Milton Avenue, Meadows said.

Police also have issued for a warrant for Damian Grover, 28, of Atlanta and expect the man will turn himself in, Meadows said.

The two allegedly were involved in a robbery Sunday night that left Harish Roy, 24, dead at the West End Stop N Shop in the 700 block of Lee Street.

Two men came into the store while a third man waited outside in a getaway car, a red Pontiac Grand Am, police said.

Inside, the gunman — who police believe to be Cantrell — asked Roy for an item off a shelf behind him. Video recorded by surveillance cameras showed that when Roy went to get the item, the gunman jumped through the narrow window opening of the cashier’s cage.

Roy rushed over to the man, who then fired. The gunman then gathered cigar boxes filled with cash and handed them to another man believed to be Grover, Meadows said. Police are still looking for the getaway driver.
