Man from Conley fatally shot in NW Atlanta

Police are investigating the Tuesday night shooting death of a man in northwest Atlanta.

Atlanta police dispatchers said the shooting happened just after 10 p.m. in the 400 block of James P. Brawley Drive.

Homicide investigators said Ricky McCray, 23, of Conley, a community in Clayton County, was standing on a street corner at the intersection of James P. Brawley and Neal Street when he was shot.

Detectives are looking at revenge as a possible motive for the slaying.
