MARTA to run fewer trains on MLK holiday

MARTA plans to reroute some of its buses for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day march Monday, and put the rail lines on a holiday schedule.

Number 16, 99, 110 and 113 buses will be rerouted, according to a statement from the agency. Riders can call MARTA at 404-848-5000 or go to itsmarta.com for more information.

The rail lines will run less frequently than on non-holiday weekdays.

The east-west line, which runs every 10 minutes during rush hour, is scheduled to run every 15 minutes all day.

The north-south train, which runs every 10 to 15 minutes during weekdays, will arrive every 20 minutes.
