Panama City, Fla., police narrowly missed nabbing a former Fulton County police officer Friday who is an alleged fugitive on a number of sex and drug charges.
The Coweta County Sheriff’s Office arrested Gregory Graham in his Sharpsburg home last April and charged him with child molestation and incest as well as drug offenses related to anabolic steroids, according to law-enforcement records.
Graham was released on $50,000 bond while awaiting trial.
He allegedly failed to show up for a court hearing on Monday. When he failed to show a second time Wednesday, a Coweta Superior Court judge issued a warrant for his arrest.
According to the Panama City News Herald, the Bay County, Fla., Sheriff’s Office tracked Graham to a hotel and stormed into his hotel room.
Graham was gone, but the officers seized a sawed-off shotgun and ammunition for a .45-caliber pistol, the news report said. They also seized Graham’s truck.
