The Atlanta woman who accused Shaquille O’Neal of stalking her and threatening her with bodily harm has withdrawn her request for a permanent restraining order against the NBA star.

Documents filed late Wednesday afternoon in Fulton County Superior Court and obtained by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution confirmed that Alexis Miller had withdrawn her request for a permanent restraining order against the Phoenix Suns’ 7-foot-1, 325-pound center. It was unclear whether the two sides had agreed to any settlement that would close the case.

Judge Karen Woodson had been slated to hear the case on Thursday after a series of continuances.

Neither Miller nor L. David Wolfe, her Atlanta-based attorney, returned calls for comment.

David Chesnoff, O’Neal’s Las Vegas-based attorney, declined comment when asked by phone if a deal had been reached.

The legal saga began in August when Miller, a 23-year-old aspiring hip-hop artist known professionally as Maryjane, took out a temporary restraining order against the future NBA Hall of Famer.

Miller has alleged that O’Neal threatened her via e-mail, made harassing telephone calls and threatened to torpedo her career after she broke off a relationship with him in July.

A court affidavit quoted an e-mail from O’Neal as saying, “I dnt no who the [expletive] u think u dealin wit u will neva be heard from one phone call is I gotta make now try me. Sho me.”

Judge Richard Hicks’ temporary restraining order prohibited O’Neal from contacting Miller or coming within 200 yards of her or her 19-month-old son. Woodson later extended the restraining order.

O’Neal, who had announced plans to reconcile with his wife earlier in the summer, is not the baby’s father.

The Suns were in Atlanta last month for a preseason game against the Hawks. Team officials declined to make O’Neal available to the media following a shoot-around at Phillips Arena earlier in the day.
