NBA star Shaquille O’Neal is scheduled to appear at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Fulton County Superior Court to answer charges that he stalked an Atlanta woman.

Alexis Miller, a 23-year-old hip-hop artist who goes by the professional name of Maryjane, has taken out a temporary restraining order against the 7-foot-1, 325-pound Phoenix Suns center. She will be asking Fulton County Superior Court Judge Karen Woodson to permanently bar O’Neal from having contact with her or her 19-month-old son.

O’Neal is not the baby’s father, said L.David Wolfe, Miller’s Atlanta-based attorney.

Miller alleges in court papers that O’Neal, 36, also threatened her via e-mail and made harassing calls while also threatening to torpedo her career after she broke off a romantic relationship with him in July.

Both parties are expected to appear in court.
