Overcrowding and the math curriculum are two things parents and teachers are concerned about in Fulton County schools, according to the results of a survey to be released later this week.
More than 2,800 parents, teachers and other district staff participated in a three-question survey initiated by Superintendent Cindy Loe in April. The results were presented to school board members Tuesday during a retreat and will be discussed with principals at a coming meeting, Loe said.

The survey asked what the school system did best, what concerns people had and what one thing would they change.
More than 240 of the respondents said they didn't have any concerns about the school system, which Loe said was hard for her to believe. No one was shocked that the math curriculum and overcrowding were in the top three.
Some parents and teachers said too much time and money was spent on new math material before administrators knew if it was a good idea or not. The curriculum was also the No. 1 issue survey takers said they'd change, if they could.
Responses to the overcrowding issue were all across the spectrum. Some respondents favored larger schools and others smaller schools. Poor planning and slow construction were also mentioned as contributing factors.
When asked what the school system did best, many mentioned the district's commitment to putting the children first, good teachers and the quality of education supplied by Fulton County.
