Repaving work was scheduled to resume Sunday morning on Atlanta's Downtown Connector, promising another day of possible delays for weekend motorists.
The massive project kicked off on Saturday, following two previous weekends in which bad weather forced postponement. The work is scheduled to continue on weekends through November.

This weekend work was scheduled to start on a five-mile stretch of northbound I-75/85 between University Avenue and 10th Street. Three lanes were to be closed.
On Saturday, traffic quickly slowed as a result of the closures but Georgia Department of Transportation spokesman Mark McKinnon said it continued to move.
The repaving of the Connector is the first since 1996 for the roadway, which is at the end of its 10- to 12-year life span.
While workers are out, McKinnon said, the speed limit in the work zone will be dropped to 45 mph and "speeding fines will be doubled."
