Just don’t bring the kiddies.

The Georgia Aquarium is putting a different — and decidedly adult — spin on Valentine’s Day this year.

In a special sleepover open to the over 21 crowd, the downtown attraction plans to show why it’s not only the world’s largest fish tank — it’s also the world’s largest underwater mating den.

In “Motions of the Oceans,” married aquarium biologists Al and Patricia Dove will discuss the secret mating rituals of animals, otherwise known as “Everything I wanted to know about what fish do when the lights are out but was afraid to ask.”

If you’re a male squid that nocturnal bliss might be — how does one say this delicately — transferring your seed to your female partner via a modified tentacle. Or, for female sharks, it could be reproducing without male sharks at all.

And, of course, the Doves will explain, ahem, when and why size matters.

The event will include food and drink — kumomoto oysters are on the menu — from Wolfgang Puck Catering, so there will be some mood setting.

The event comes on the heels of a number of programs the aquarium has made to lure visitors. In addition to bringing in the first manta ray in a U.S. aquarium, the attraction introduced the Titanic Aquatic exhibit late last summer and recently announced yoga classes.

The Valentine’s Day sleepover begins after the lecture with visitors spending the night in the Ocean Voyager Gallery. The aquarium did not elaborate on what happens when its lights go out.

Prices for the lecture and dinner are $85 for non-members and $75 for members. The cost of the lecture, dinner and sleepover are $160 for non-members and $135 for members.
