Tigger in trouble again
Another “re-dickerous” charge?
Tigger, the bouncy, flouncy, trouncy, fun, fun, fun, character from Winnie the Pooh has once again has had his character questioned at DisneyWorld in Orlando.
And as you can imagine, when you are a costumed character, your character is practically all you have. (Just ask Pinocchio.)
This time, Tigger is accused of cuffing a boy at the park, and is on suspension while Disney investigates. Story here.
This isn’t the first time TIgger has been accused of misdeeds at the park. Three years ago, the costumed character was accused of groping a 13-year-old girl with his oversized paws. That case went to a Florida jury, which cleared Tigger. Story here.
In both cases, the incidents involved people posing for photos with Tigger, who is, after all, the most rambunctious of the Pooh characters, and possibly all the Disney characters.
If you don’t want to get handled, pose with Eeyore
We here at The Blogaroni consider Tigger a necessarily edgy performer at Disney, which is part of his appeal. Posing for photos with him is, and should be, a dicey business.
So as a public service, we have culled some photos from the Internet which, we believe, raise questions about the people who would subject themselves and their children to photos with Tigger.
Who gets to breathe? I’m the only one. Hooo, hooo, hooo, hooo!
Tigger seems to be debating some pretend strangulation as a way to liven up this photo shoot.

Trying to make kids too short to ride Space Mountain?
And you thought he just twisted on his tail
Twist and shout, baby. Twist and shout.

A paw man’s paradise?
Here’s Tigger on a good day …

… and here’s Tigger on a bad day.

You will always have those who prey on the successful companies to take advantage of them. i.e. - the McDonald’s hot coffee incident. Like Larry the Cable Guys says, “I think we should sue the pencil companies for all the tests we fail.”

People are full of themselves and can’t step back to recognize their own stupidity or misfortune.
I worked as a character in Orlando for a time. I recall an incident in which a prude mother and her “whatever” attitude-prone teenage daughter wanted a picture. Most people don’t stand with their hands boringly at their side, especially when they can tell their hands are at the height of a man’s genitals and they are close to get in the picture frame.
So, when the teenager got all pissy about life or her hair (?), her hand gesturing results in me getting grazed in the nards. Daughter then tells mom what happened, Mom then goes and accuses me of going out of my way to rub myself on her daughter during the photo shoot.
Don’t get me started on other behaviors of people at theme parks when they have no courtesy or believe they have entitlement.

Give me a break! Molested? The person inside those costumes can’t even see to walk around, they have escorts so they don’t run into people. If you don’t want to be “fondled” don’t get your picture taken! Next they’ll accuse Minnie of being a lesbian because her giant glove touches someone.

This is absurd. Who would go ahead and bop a kid in public where there are sooooo many people to witness everything!!!! If this truly happened, are there more witnesses that are not related to the family who came forwards? Probably not. Were the parents present? Probably not. You are taking the word of a child who probably was picking on or making fun of tiger. Thats what 14 year olds do!!!!!

Beware of stealthy strangers with candy stripes….
Has Ray Horn taught us nothing? How about the warm-and-fuzzy Exxon “Tiger in your tank” that (now admits they) conspiratorially duped us into believing that global warming was all a bunch of hooey just so we wouldn’t feel guilty about filling up the family truckster with tiger juice on our way to the theme parks. Or that lovable “They’re Grrrreat!” breakfast cereal icon Tony the tiger? …Now he’s dead. And speaking of illusions, did anyone really expect a leprechaun would be any match for a bona fide Louisiana tiger? When it comes to tigers (especially those strange cuddly ones with candy stripes) - caveat emptor!

When I visited Disney World 2years ago.I saw a teenage boy kick tweedle dum in the back of the leg,and run away probably on a dare from friends. I think that the same thing happened here.I think that boy was doing something behind tigger’s back.I think he got what he deserved.

People like this family make me sick. They are obviously just trying to make money off of Disney. I think the Disney employee should be reinstated immediately and perhaps should consider legal action against the family. I would say they should be ashamed, but people like them obviously have no shame.

I don’t know if this innocent looking young lad (probably half a fag) was trying a reach-a-round on Tigger or if he was wanted to gnaw on his fuzzy nutsack, but is there a way Tigger or this family can sue you? For the hateful things you’ve been saying about them?

I’ve watched the video several times. What did teen boy do to Tigger???? And…if I was Tigger…the teen woulda gotten a straight right to the nose…and with some speed and strength behind it. The kid obviously did something tormenting to Tigger. Look at his face, look at his hand…and Tigger was getting the kid OFF him… Free Tigger!! And..sue the kid and his dad…. If I was Tigger, I’d be stressed, unable to sleep, dreaming about obnoxious teenagers pinching, twisting, and manhandling me in my workplace. Gimme a break…The Dad needs a straight right too!!!

I used to mascot in highschool and I am telling you this much, those costumes are hard to get around in.
Tigger looks like it is defending himself. Just look at the motion… it is a GET OFF ME motion, not a slap the smirk of teenie bopper look.
I have teenagers now and KNOW that look well… they are trying to pull something over.
If I were on a jury and saw this, I would be siding with Tigger.

GIVE TIGGER HIS JOB BACK. GIVE THE TEEN A DOSE OF REAL LIFE REALITY…AND MAKE HIM DO CHORES AND MAKE HIS OWN BED. GIVE DAD A BRAIN…AND SOME PARENTING SKILLS. AND…THEY BOTH NEED TO GIVE TIGGER AN APOLOGY AND HOPE THEY DON’T GET SUED IN RETURN.

Great article… the one giving advice on how to “help boca’s Iguana problem.” I laughed my butt off. I cannot stand boca having lived there for 3 yrs I myslef being a native almost had to move out of the state.I am completly after that experience. I am completely disgusted with what is happening to our beautiful S.FL. & the unappreciative neusances of society that are taking over. THanks anyways Sean
