Serenbe Hits NYT Travel Section

WALKIN’ ON SUNSHINE: Serenbe Farms’ farm manager Paige Witherington got a great write up in Sunday’s NYT

If you missed Sunday’s NYT, I’ll briefly catch you up on a delightful travel piece, heavy on dining, of Serenbe.

Writer Kevin Sack had nothing but wonderful things to say about Steve and Marie Nygren’s hamlet just 30 minutes south of Atlanta in Palmetto, Ga. He raves about chef Nick Melvin of the Farmhouse and Hilary White of the Hil.

All things we already knew, but glad to see this “serene place to be” get this kind of press.

SO happy for them - I love the Serenbe community. It’s a total escape for a day or two.

Of course this might mean that tourists will overwhelm them and things might change - but I hope not!

Just the best getaway from the city, period. Hope the masses don’t discover our little gem. Georgia country in the city!

We visited Serenbe on New Year’s Eve with friends from Atlanta. Immediately I felt at home - from the small shops, to the LEED certified homes, to the wonderful trails and organic farm. Oh if he only had a community like this in Williamsburg, Va we’d move there in a sec.
