Reindeer Games

LET’S PLAY

We do a lot of game playing this time of year. My family loves to play cards of all kinds, and we also love board games and many of the “think tank” games that started with Trivial Pursuit and have mushroomed into a million types.
My sister got a new game for Christmas called Things. It basically gives players a topic, like “things people do when no one is looking,” then each player writes down whatever comes to mind. A reader reads responses out loud and then everyone guesses who said what.
It would be a blast to think of questions in strictly culinary terms. For instance:
What two ingredients should never be mixed together?
What should you never say to a waiter?
What should a waiter never say to you?
What food or dish makes you say yum?
What food or dish makes you say bleeeeeck?
Okay, now we’re warmed up. What other questions can you think of?

What restaurants do you tell others is fabulous (because it’s a favor for an old friend) but in reality wouldn’t feed your dog?
Where do you go after a ‘meal’ at an overrated restaurant (i.e. the main course can be eaten in less than 6 bites) to satisfy your hunger afterwards?
What’s the most overrated wine recommended by the restaurants you’ve dined at?
What restaurants have waiters who have a ‘hissy fit’ when you ask for separate checks?

HA! Charles you’re a hoot! I love the “where to go after you’ve already eaten” entry. Thanks for playing.

Last night at a restaurant in VaHi.. After my wife and I split 1 app, each had an entree and split 1 dessert; the waitress said “Wow! You guys ate real good!”
Never mix Courvossier and Coke.
Never approach my table with dirty dishes from another table and proceed to stack them all together on my table, while asking if there is anything you can get for me.
Never mix Vinegar and Baking Soda.
