That’s Alotta Mashed Taters
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Here’s how comedian Patton Oswalt weighs in on KFC’s Famous Bowl:
Have you ever eaten one of these? Are they even available in Atlanta area KFC’s? What do you think? From the sound of it, I think I would flee to the mountains if I had to eat one…

Ha ha ha ha ha … his piece is so full of funny one-liners … but I like this one best:
(on how the Famous Bowl is Kentucky Fried Chicken’s version of a Shepherd’s Pie)
“Shepherds in Kentucky must be full of rage and …. confusion.”
Too good.
But on point - although I’ve been known to enjoy a piece of Original Recipe while on a road trip or back in the broke-all-the-time days, I’m pretty sure I’d never face temptation from the Famous Bowl. And frankly, any comparison to Shepherd’s Pie is GROSSLY exaggerated.
Shep’s Pie has peas in it. :)

When I first saw the ads for this, this, thing, I thought surely it was a joke. But no. In this day and age of nutritional information and awareness, I cannot believe that KFC could foist this on the public. And what is more unbelievable is the fact that people are eating it. No, wait, I guess that figures. Just the thought of it causes my digestive system to quiver.
