What Dish Could You NOT Live Without?

Last week, we talked about dishes we could live without. I would love it, for instance, if I never saw tiramisu on a dessert menu again.

But the bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with marcona almonds at Repast are not something I would willingly give up. Nor would I the buttery, dense pineapple upside-down cake at the Globe. I could never live without the arugula salad with Parm shards at Baraonda, the pizza at Rosa’s and if I had to do without beef brisket from Sam & Dave’s BBQ I might have a hissy fit.

That’s only a few. What dish could you never live without? Where can we find it?

The way I thought of it was - what would I miss the most from Atlanta restaurants if I had to move to another city?

  • pulled pork sandwich at Pig n Chick
  • tuna melt at Village Pizza
  • country fried tempeh at Ria’s Bluebird
  • carciofi e olive pizza at Fritti
  • Rosa’s plain cheese slice
  • gruyere scone and coffee at Alon’s

Oh my….. my mouth is watering just ‘thinking’ about this…. the Veal Toscana at Fina Italian Bistro in Historic College Park. The steamed mussels at Carrabbas. Goat Cheese Pizza (my own creation). And KRISPY KREME DONUTS HOT OFF THE PRESS!

Oh Oh Oh!!! A grande latte and pumpkin cream cheese donut from Java Monkey on a satuday morning ::::smiling:::::::
