Fast-Casual Favorites?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Fast-casual concepts are taking over Atlanta — better than fast food, but still cheaper and faster than sitting down for a full-fledged meal. The idea behind most is to get you in and out fast and cheap. Many are local franchises; others are national chains: Tossed (from New York) just opened its second Atlanta location in Decatur. The Real Chow Baby (local) is opening a second location, too. And we all know the success of Raving Brands.
Have you been to any of these places? Which are your favorites? Why?

I like Taqueria del Sol - their fish taco is the best I’ve had, and the veggie taco is great too. Standing the long line that always spills out the door into the parking lot is tough to do in this heat, though.
Figo has some good stuff. I had the spinach papardelle in funghi sauce recently and it was very good, and I’ve also enjoyed the Zucca.

Well up until 2 weeks ago I would have said Tin Star on Windward Parkway in Alpharetta, but apparently I was in the majority since it’s closed! Tossed is decent but the prices are outrageous (who remembers Eatzi’s?). Really I can’t think of any other that impress. Disappointing, isn’t it?
