I head to the gocery store and pick up a half-gallon of Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla. It tastes like the hand churned ice cream my great aunt used to make on Sunday afternoons when I was a child.

Carvel? Blue Bell? Lord, help us if that’s the best we can do.
Jake’s, Hank’s, Paulo’s Gelato, even Bruster’s is better than any store-bought ice cream.
