Party with Obama, McCain and … Cee-Lo

lvgrammy gnarles.JPG

Hey are you free the evening of Nov. 4?

Come party with John McCain, Barack Obama and … Cee-Lo from Gnarls Barkley.

OK, actually just one of those guys is supposed to be in the ATL that night.

595 North, at 595 North Ave., will host an election night party beginning at 7 p.m. The night features live music, hors d’oeuvres (and a full menu by order), cash bar and lots of politics.

“We’re encouraging indiviiduals to come from the polls,” party promoter Christopher Thomas said.

A slew of artists will perform country, pop, r&B and hip hop, he said. Celeb guests scheduled to attend include Cee-Lo Green and Q. Parker of 112.

Thomas, 33, said he’s expecting a young and enthusiastic crowd, in keeping with what he’s seen during this campaign season.

“We work with young people all the time, as some of our clients target teenages or college students,” he said. “I’ve never seen this much college level involvement (in politics).”

The party’s free but you need to RSVP. E-mail vibranttuesday@gmail.com.

In other Election Night party news, the Stonewall Democrats plan to watch the results at Halo Lounge, 817 W. Peachtree St. RSVP for the bash on the group’s Web site.

The Crash Test Comedy Company plans an Election Night show beginning at 8 p.m. at the Highland Inn, 644 N. Highland Ave.

“We thought of putting together a fun night of laughter where everyone is welcome regardless of who they are voting for in the election,” said organizer Cris Gray. “Everyone loves to laugh and together we will while we wait to see the results of “America’s Next Top President.”

Tickets are $7 at the door and Highland Inn Ballroom Lounge will be serving $2 beers all night.

Hey, we can all vote for that.

Anyone else planning something? The AJC is working on an election-night party story to run in the paper and would love to give your event a shout-out.

Let me hear from you! You can post your news here and/or e-mail me at butterfly@ajc.com.

Going on vacation in the Florida Keys that week - far, far away from any large city in order to avoid the riots, looting, and burning if Obama loses and the stray bullets shot into the air if he wins.

I will be at home praying the majority of American people are smart enough not to elect Hussein Obama. Was he even born in America?

You see how more intelligent Spudz answer is than the other two magets. Now lets see if you can guess their color and party affiliations. Hint: the two white guys are the ones with the really ignorant answers. I’m not sure about Spudz. But he makes me proud to be an American.

Barack Obama was born in America — unlike the completely unpatriotic idiots like reservoirDAWG and Rum and Coke. Take your lame, America-hating asses someplace else!

What is a maget? Addjazz, what makes you think I’m unpatriotic? Is it because you support Hussein and I disagree with you. You, sir, are the ignorant one to think that clown is going to fix this country’s problems.

By the way i’m sorry I got a little heated and did not respond to your article. I think it’s a great idea that you put this article together to give people ideas about some great things to do on election night. We are not all sickos, we can come together and wish the country well no matter who gets elected. Come election night I plan on spending it with my family just eating and enjoying each others company. Although I will be voting for Barack Obama I believe John McCain was right when he said we should all still respect each other.

Do any of the Hussein supporters understand basic economics? Do you think taxing corporations will help? Windfall taxes? Watch prices on everything go up as the corporate taxes are passed on to the consumer.

No excitement for me. Congress determines most of what happens and not the President. With these two to pick from, heaven help us all.

What is the big excitement, a party for election night? Whatever happens I hope that we will have an improvement in the Congress. And by the way may be the media should not be allowed to endorse a candidate.

Uncle Tom, these last eight years have been rather fruitful for me and a lot of my friends and family. I suppose some have made some poor decisions. Like my father has always said, whoever is in office, not much changes.

This nation will be more divided than you have ever could have imagined. And with the tax hikes the corporations will see, the lay-off’s are coming. What you people fail to understand is Obama will destroy the small business in America. He is a socialest to the end. another thing people are not admitting to is th fact the democrats have controlled congress for two years, and they have been jumping for joy at the problems the nation is having. They wanted it as bad as could be and they for sure helded to make it as bad. BLIND PEOPLE! Tamika, you need to know the facts about the failure of Fannnie May and Freddie Mack, Clinton pushed that bill through to relax underwriting and loan to unqualified borrows.
We are going from the fryer in to the FIRE!!

George Bush Still should have been persistant with Freddie, and fannie and Bbarney Frank. He only TRIED 1 time to fix them. Just Once in n 8 year period!!

Drive all you Repblicans crazy that your guy is going to Lose this year!! And there is nothing you can do about it!!

If the Repblicans were not so greedy and speding like cracy over the last 8 years maybe they would not be packing

And they call Obama a SOCIALIST— WHO IS SOCIALIZING THE BANKS RIGHT NOW AS WE SPEAK

GEORGE W BUSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A new day is ahead of us all. It’s about time. “Eight is Enough” and I don’t mean the TV series… Finally someone with some common sense and intelligence will take this country in the direction we should of been going in years ago. I wonder will Bush and McCain vacation together when he loses and Bush moves out…? Hmmmmm…., Probably.
