What are your secret short-cuts?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Valerie Jackson has to be one of the most beautiful women in Atlanta.
The widow of former Mayor Maynard Jackson, she hosts the popular “Between the Lines” show on WABE 90.1 FM, and is seen at chic events all over town, always resplendent and often in some magnificent hat.
Visiting with her pool-side at the Pink Palace Friday night, we learned we share a little secret: wearing a hat allows a more leisurely approach to getting ready, since you don’t have to fuss with your coiffure. Ladies in hats always turn heads, but I’m guessing more than a few just didn’t feel like fixing their hair.
“You’ve just saved yourself 15 minutes,” by clapping on a hat, Jackson says.
How brilliant is that?

Everyone’s schedule stays so full that time seems to be the most valuable commodity sometimes. So let’s help each other out here. How do you save precious moments when getting ready for parties - or for work and church? What are your sartorial secrets?
