Style: SUMMERIZE your skin
Fight ravages of heat with hot products for whole body

Rachelle Janicki knows well the ills of summer sun.

The owner of Entebello, a modern apothecary and spa in Buckhead, lived in Austin before opening her store in Atlanta and says heat and humidity can do a not-so-nice number on skin and hair.

Skin becomes oilier. Breakouts are virtually inevitable. Feet get rougher. Hair color fades faster.

"In the summer, with more sun exposure, whether intended or not, your skin and hair are much more sensitive," Janicki said.

Sunscreen is, of course, your first defense, but there are numerous other products to help you stay smooth and soft in the hottest months.

In addition to offering a range of spa services for men and women, Entebello sells some of the hippest products on the market through its on-site retail boutique. Janicki took Style on a guided tour of her top product picks for surviving a long, hot summer.

Malie Kauai Renew Ginger Sweet Lime Facial Tonic

"I just like a mist in the summer. And because of the packaging, you can take this on the plane." $29.50

Juara Hope Candle

"This brings the beach to your house. It's like summer in a jar, and 10 percent of sales go to Walubi [an organization that aids the poor in disaster hit areas of Indonesia]." $40

T. LeClerc Sunflower Pressed Powder "This bronzer makes skin luminous and is good for all skin types and tones. Darker women can use it as a highlighter and lighter women can use it as a contour." $65

Herban Essentials Towelettes

"You can use these to clean your hands, feet or your yoga mat when it is sweaty. You can use them to wipe off after playing with the dog." $6 - $15

Adara Organic Virgin Coconut Oil

"This can be used as a makeup remover, massage oil or just on split ends. If you know you're going to be at the beach or at the pool, use an oil on your hair. They provide protection against the chemicals and harsh elements in the water as well as the sun." $30

Coola Total Body SPF 30 in Plumeria and Carita Paris Progressif Anti-Age Solaire Protecting and Correcting Eye Contour Suncare SPF 15

"The sunscreen isn't too heavy and the eye cream is tinted and comes in a tube, which helps to avoid contamination." $28, $56

MORE SUMMER MUSTS

Flourish by HollyBeth's "Roll-ons are great for summer. This is a light floral scent." $45
