Here's a sweet offer: Free ice cream sundaes.

Wal-Mart Supercenters are giving away ice cream sundaes from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, or as long as supplies last.

The promotion is happening at 2,500 stores across the country. Wal-Mart estimates it will give away 1 million frozen treats, with whipped cream and various toppings.

For a list of stores participating in the promotion, check www.walmart.com/icecream. A few Wal-Marts that aren't supercenters also are taking part in metro Atlanta, including stores in east Cobb County and Dunwoody.
