With the threat of frost over (let's hope so, anyway), here's a bouquet of events for your springtime calendar.

The fifth annual Garden Faire, organized by North Fulton Master Gardeners, is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 26 at Bulloch Hall in Roswell. Chairing the free event is Leslie Foley. Highlights include an 11 a.m. cooking demonstration by chef Linton Hopkins of Restaurant Eugene; Chester Hewell of Hewell Pottery in Gillsville; and Polly McLeod Mattox and Helen Mattox Bost, who will discuss their book, "Private Gardens in Georgia." Pick up gently used garden accessories at the "Fleatique" and heirloom blooms at the pass-along plant sale. Info: 770-992-1731, 404-613-7670; www.northfultonmastergardeners.org.

> The 2008 Ladies of the Lake Garden Party will be 4 to 7 p.m. May 4 at the Duck Pond, one block east of Peachtree Road between Lakeview Avenue and Peachtree Way. Sponsor Casa Grande is catering; Big Peach Swing Band entertains; and the silent auction features trips, artwork, photography and wine. It's $20 in advance, $25 at the party. Mail a check to Ladies of the Lake, P.O. Box 550254, Atlanta, GA 30355 or call 404-869-2308. Organizers say leave kids and pets at home.

> The Sandy Springs Society sponsors the seventh annual Sandy Springs Garden Tour from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 3 and noon to 5 p.m. May 4. Tickets are available at Ace of Sandy Springs, 6010 Sandy Springs Circle, or at Smith and Hawken, 2395 Peachtree Road in Buckhead. Tickets also will be available at each of the gardens on tour day for $20. Event co-chairs are Minnie Bob Campbell and Jan Green. Ticket chair is Angi Evert; tour day volunteer coordinator is Peggy Buckner. Proceeds benefit Sandy Springs charities. Organizers suggest comfortable shoes for walking and note that neither pets nor strollers are allowed. The properties are not wheelchair-accessible. Info: www.sandyspringssociety.org.

> The fourth annual Artful Garden Tour is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 17. Benefiting the High Museum of Art, it features a number of drought-tolerant gardens in Druid Hills, Inman Park, Loring Heights and Virginia-Highland. Local landscapers David Ellis and Brendan Butler designed and coordinated some of the gardens, and others were completed by the homeowners. Local artists Doug Dannels and Matt Janke will exhibit clay sculpture, blown glass, metalwork and painting en plein-air during the garden tour. It's $25, $20 in advance, and $18 for groups of 10 or more. Info: www.high.org/gardentour.
