Q: One of my sons is asking that I send him some Joey towels, and from what I understand they are a better solution for field hygiene than baby wipes. But I cannot find them anywhere.

A: I think you're looking for Joey Wipes Complete Bath System, designed to replace a basin bath in hospitals and nursing homes — or out in the field. Each unit consists of a resealable pouch containing four or eight premoistened disposable washcloths, one for different areas of the body. The complete pouch can be warmed in a microwave for a more comfortable bathing experience, but works just as well at room temperature. The allergen-free solution on the washcloths contains a rinse-free cleansing agent and skin moisturizers. You can order them directly from the source at www.guyandoneill.com or by calling 1-800-325-5358. Prices start at $18.60 for six pouches.
Q: I love Boots skin care products from England. I can't find them since moving to the Atlanta area. I am desperately looking for the Nourishing Night Cream from the Botanics line.
NANCY ROBERTSON, Atlanta
A: Boots got its start in Nottingham, where John Boot opened his first pharmacy in 1849. Today, Boots skin care products and cosmetics are sold in many countries, including the United States. You can find Nourishing Night Cream in 1.69-ounce jars for $14.99 at Target, 3535 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, 404-237-9494.
Q: Would you please help me find my favorite fragrance? It's light and unique. It's called Ma Griffe by Carven. I've heard that others are looking for this, as well.
SUSAN WILLIAMS-ROGERS, Avondale Estates
A: French designer Carmen de Tomaso, who named her fashion house Carven, not only launched this fresh floral perfume in the 1940s, but she also designed beautiful dresses, many with her trademark green-and-white-stripes, which also adorn the packaging of her fragrance. Ma Griffe is available in a 3.3-ounce eau de parfum spray for $22.99 online through www.scentiments.com. Note that the perfume name has been bought and sold a few times over the years, so if you remember the original, this one might not measure up.
Q: As she's gotten older, my mother can no longer wear the perfumes she's always loved. But she still likes to have fragrance around her. She told me that someone she knows told her of these little lockets filled with fragrance that hook onto your pocketbook. I can't find anything like this and would really love to find this item and surprise her.
AMY GRAY, Atlanta
A: Amy, I found a local company that sells fragrance lockets called Purscent. These are designed to hold either solid scented inserts or blank pads that you can saturate with your favorite fragrance. These ornate teardrop-shaped pendants fasten onto your bag with a small metallic chain. They come in gold or silver tone and some are adorned with Swarovski crystals. Prices start at $25. They're available through www.aromaccessories.com or you can visit Sensory, 3172 E. Ponce de Leon Ave., Scottdale, 404-508-5971. The store is open to the public 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays.
Q: I know this is a long shot, but my husband and I love the Christmas mint nougats by Brach's. It's the chewy mint candy with the green tree in the center. I usually try to stock up around the holidays when they're plentiful, but I'm afraid I didn't do a good job this year. Is there a surplus where we can order the candy, or do we have to wait for this Christmas?
BRENDA JACKSON, Decatur
A: It seems that Christmas is coming early for you this year, Brenda. Not only did I find Brach's Christmas peppermint nougats, but you won't even have to order them, you'll just have to make the short drive to Toco Hill shopping center. There are plenty of these festive candies at Publix, 2969 N. Druid Hills, Atlanta, 404-638-6022. You'll find the Brach's self-serve candy case near the checkout line on your left when you enter the store. The candy sells for $4.49 per pound.
