Brian and Anita Will's traditional house in Roswell would be an equally good fit for a streetscape in Park City, Utah. Throughout the three-level plan, the stacked stone, vaulted ceilings, fireplaces and wood beams recreate the feel of a luxurious mountain retreat.

It took the couple two years to finish the five-bedroom house where they now live with their two children.

"This is our dream home," said Brian Will. "We put everything in it we wanted."

The 10,000-square-foot house, sitting on two acres, has several luxury upgrades, including a minimum of 10-foot ceilings; exotic hardwoods throughout; 10-inch cedar beams inside and out; six floor-to-ceiling fireplaces; and four porches with tongue-in-groove ceilings.

From the front porch, with its stone and wood columns, guests enter a soaring vaulted foyer accented with dark wood beams. A large photo of a mountain landscape stretches across one wall high above. To the right, a spacious paneled study is accented with a cherry-beamed vaulted ceiling and fireplace. To the left, a formal dining room holds a heavy wood table for 10 below a faux-painted ceiling.

A few steps below the foyer is a two-story grand room with an enormous fireplace flanked by bookcases. The weight of the fireplace and its extensive stone accents required a steel structure to support it. Behind the baby grand piano, three sets of French doors open to a flagstone porch, overlooking a zero-entry pool, hot tub and outdoor kitchen area. A Brazilian cherry staircase leads to the upstairs bedrooms.

The kitchen has two islands. The first has a sink and breakfast bar; the second, closer to the stove, is a prep area. Brick from the outside of the house edges the ceiling. The heart of the house includes a home office area; a keeping room with comfortable couches; and a screened porch with wicker furniture, a stone fireplace a flat-screen TV, a tall outdoor space heater and a door to a porch that holds a barbecue grill.

"I think the keeping room and the kitchen are my favorites," said Anita Will. "They were both worth waiting for."

On the second floor, the kids enjoy a playroom with a suede sectional, built-in bookcases and desks. Each of the bedrooms has its own bath with heated floors. There's also a laundry area.

The first-floor master is topped with a beamed tray ceiling and stacked stone fireplace. Double walk-in closets lead to a posh bath with a triangular corner spa tub surrounded by stone and two sets of windows. The open shower has no doors, two sprays and an overhead rain shower.

The lower level is the recreation zone, complete with a center room for a ping-pong table and two arcade games. A rubber-floored exercise room has mirrored walls. A low-hung door leads to a safe room surrounded by 10-inch concrete and steel walls. A second game room holds a pool table, bar, fireplace and access to the brick wine cellar. A home theater seats 10 in recliners wired to the sound system. The downstairs also has a guest bedroom, changing area for anyone coming in from the pool and another laundry area.

Around the exterior of the pool area, the couple installed a spray system that shoots mosquito repellent and an outdoor sound system.

"I have to give my wife the credit," said Brian Will. "She has done a phenomenal job designing the house and decorating the interior."
