It hasn't been a perfect year for Kimora Lee Simmons, but it's impossible to keep a fabulous woman down. Simmons, the president of Baby Phat and head of an empire that includes everything from dolls to fragrance and cosmetics, is recently divorced from entertainment mogul Russell Simmons.

This month, she launched a new clothing line for juniors, called, what else? "Fabulosity." Skirts, dresses, tees, jackets and more are part of the reasonably priced line (most items are under $100) offered exclusively at JC Penney. Simmons talks a bit about her new line and her new life.

Q: What does the term Fabulosity mean when it is applied to clothing?

A: Fabulosity means celebrating your beauty inside and out. It is being confident and fearless – wearing clothes that empower you.

Q: How is the Fabulosity line different from Baby Phat ?

A: Fabulosity has a similar aesthetic to Baby Phat, however this is a different customer. We paid very close attention to meeting her needs to feel feminine and glamorous. The color palette is different as are the silhouettes.

Q: At a time when many designers are moving upscale, why did you choose JC Penney as an outlet for your Fabulosity line?

A: I started Baby Phat 10

years ago because I wanted to offer women affordable luxury. I am continuing that philosophy with JC Penney. This collection caters to teen girls who want to show the world how fabulous they truly are. With prices ranging from $29 to $108, they can afford to look confident, beautiful and feminine as they head back to school.

Q: How do you manage to juggle so many different responsibilities and commitments ?

A: I am constantly inspired to do so many things which is the reason I strive to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle, with lots of meditation and yoga. Spending quality time with my family is a plus; my girls keep me so motivated.

Q: What is the greatest challenge you've had to overcome in the past year?

A: Going through a divorce with a healthy state of mind.

Q: What is the next venture we can expect in the Kimora empire?

A: Accessories and home items are key pieces when I design because I think about lifestyles. Stay tuned!

Q: What advice would you give young women on how to find their signature style?

A: Celebrate who you are and your individual greatness. Fashion is a form of expression and they should never be afraid to express who they are.
