Georgia high school football week 1

Westminster meets Blessed Trinity and Cedar Grove meets Tucker in the first week of high school football in Georgia.

Deshaun Watson, senior, quarterback, Gainesville: Watson, 6-3, 200 pounds, enters his senior season as the state record-holder for career passing yards and passing touchdowns. As a junior, he threw for 4,011 yards and 50 touchdowns and rushed for 1,430 yards and 24 touchdowns while leading the Red Elephants to their first state championship in school history. Watson is committed to Clemson.
