Texas Aggies stable in polls at #9

Baylor continues to move up in the rankings after dismantling West Virginia. Missouri slips into the AP Poll at 5-0 as the #25 team. Note that the USA Today Coaches Poll has Clemson and Ohio State incorrectly tied. We'll update that when the corrected poll is available. Week 7 AP ...

Bye Week Football Watching Open Thread

Alright, so it's Saturday but there's no A&M; game today. It feels sort of hollow since we didn't really have a bye week last season. This is our first of two this season, which is a huge bonus for the players and coaches, even if we as fans must suffer. ...

Bill Byrne calls 'em like he sees 'em

Watched it happen too many times. When tu needs a call, they get it. Clearly a fumble. Call goes for tu. — Bill Byrne (@Bill_Byrne) October 4, 2013 I, for one, was happy to see Byrne call them "tu" instead of his "friends from the state capital" as he usually ...

GBH GAMBLIN' GUIDE: WEEK SIX

It finally happened. A losing week. While the Ags are at home resting, nursing a few injuries, the college football world plays on. We're still waiting on the dogs to truly start barking, and some are wondering if this is shaping up to be a repeat of 2011, when betting ...

Bye Week Q&A: Ole Miss Fashion with Bunkie Perkins

GBH: Is there such thing as "too much seersucker"? BP: In the right season, no, of course not.  But any reasonable discerning gentleman would know that any seersucker after Labor Day and before Easter is "too much seersucker." GBH: Mercy, but there is a powerful heat visited upon us this fine eve. ...

NAILED IT—a Guide to the Football Fanicure

I originally began writing for Good Bull Hunting because there was a desire to attract some female readers. Now I know not all women enjoy college football as much as I do and maybe your family dinner discussions don't revolve around the merits of a 4-3 vs. a 3-4 defense. ...

Texas A&M's Week 5 Post-Arkansas Press Conference

The last week has been interesting to say the least. The Aggies handled (survived?) the Razorbacks in a 45-33 road win that generated more questions about the defense, and even some about the offense. Unlike the end of last year where the Aggies appeared to be emboldened by playing back ...

What are the Best Jobs in College Football?

Thanks to USC being really bad at football and having to fire head coach Lane Kiffin in September, the inevitable yearly coaching rumors have started swirling earlier than usual. It shouldn't come as much of a surprise that Texas A&M;'s own Kevin Damn Sumlin has seen his name thrown into ...

Point/Counterpoint: With Dodds' retirement, should the Aggies and Longhorns restore the annual rivalry game?

Deloss Dodds expected to retire Kirk Bohls of the Austin American-Statesman and others are reporting that Deloss Dodds is set to announce that he will retire in August after 32 years as Texas' athletic director. We here at Good Bull Hunting like to make sure our readers are not just informed, but always at the height of fashion.  You may remember some excellent pieces written by friends of the program jlemmons96 and fletcher.massie.  However, I felt that one particular group has gone woefully unrepresented in these past write-ups, ...

Dogs have resolve but they’re running out of bodies

If nothing else, Georgia has ensured at least one thing about its season. Regardless of where the rest of the schedule takes them, whether its to an SEC championship, a BCS bowl bid or a national title, there will be no claims from outsiders that this team received too many breaks and escaped health issues, no suggestions that the road to success was lined with lollipops and unicorns.
