The Tennessee Volunteers fell in overtime to the 6th-ranked Georgia Bulldogs this evening in overtime. Pig Howard's stretch for the end zone on the Vols' opening possession in overtime was correctly ruled a fumble just inches before the ball broke the plane, setting the stage for Georgia to win the ...

RTTs Locks & Keys Week 6: How About Now?

Look, so this is going to be tough. We pretty much knew that. Tough doesn't necessarily preclude a win, but it does mean that everything that goes on in this game needs to break for Tennessee. Georgia's been occasionally benedictory, though. YOUR WEEK 6 KEYS Standard Downs. Yeah, go figure. ...

Tennessee vs Georgia - The Blueprint

There's been a lot of woe is us around here this week, and no doubt some of it has been merited. Some of us, including me, are of the opinion these Vols will have a better chance against Alabama than they will tomorrow simply because of the matchups; Team 117 ...

Better Know an Opponent: Georgia

For all the talk about Georgia's weird schedule, they're one of the few teams in the country who can lay claim to having a harder schedule than Tennessee so far. That's what happens when you've already played 3 top 15 teams (and we'll just ignore that Florida's their toughest game ...

Tennessee Vols vs. Georgia Bulldogs: statistical game preview

A weekly look at our upcoming opponent from a statistics perspective. CAVEATS: You'll get tired of hearing this, but yeah, we know that small sample sets preclude concrete conclusions. One game (or even two or three) doesn't provide enough data to approach the predictive accuracy of even a Magic 8 ...

Tennessee Vols Monday Press Conference Cliff's Notes

It's only the first month of the season, but Butch Jones has already found the need to defend his program against the criticism coming out of a poor second half Saturday against South Alabama. Jones opened by reminding everybody that changing a culture and changing bad habits takes time and ...

Tennessee Trending Report: South Alabama

Trending Up: Winning Games. First things first: this was a win. Independent of the weird quality of the win (which we'll get to later, since everyone else has skipped ahead to that point anyway), we had counted South Alabama as a win. There are going to be a few games ...

Dogs have resolve but they’re running out of bodies

If nothing else, Georgia has ensured at least one thing about its season.
