Special Teams: Oklahoma Review, Arizona State Preview

While the result was not what we all wanted to happen, ND’s special teams on Saturday performed admirably. Yes, I said admirably. They were not perfect but it was hardly the worst I have seen this season. Yes, there were some minor blown assignments on the kickoff coverage and the ...

OFD Films: The Devil is in the Details - Arizona State Preview

We lost last week. It sucks. No time for small talk or semi-humorous Canadian references. Let's get to work and take a look at the Arizona State offense. General Observations In preparation for this post I've watched more than 100 plays by the ASU offense and have charted 72 of ...

Football Food: Pulled Pork

So here's the thing-this isn't a recipe for BBQ. This does not incorporate tedious hours of tending a smoker. This is a pretty simple (and foolproof) method for making pulled pork in the oven. A crockpot would also work. Could you go ahead and use a smoker instead of the ...

Yes, it's that magical time of the week again! We're back with our third installment of Trick Shot Wednesday--that venue for the OFD community to gather as one and console each other's post-loss anger via hearty laughter (usually at an opponent's expense). USC & The Shifting Coaching Landscape

In case you've been living under a rock Notre Dame's biggest rival just fired their head coach. After 3+ years in Los Angeles with a 28-15 record Lane Kiffin was let go as the coach of Southern California. One of the first things I ever wrote here at One Foot ...

Brian Kelly's ASU Week Press Conference

I watched a replay of Brian Kelly's postgame conference on Sunday, and I thought to myself, "I should play a drinking game and take a drink every time he mentions the 'little things' in his Tuesday presser this week."  I'm relieved to report I didn't follow through on my plan. ...

Oklahoma Game Review: Irish Can't Answer the Bell

We saw the return of Bad Tommy, so-so defense, and a running game that came to life. Play Call of the Game: Rees 6-yard TD Pass to Jones Nothing too crazy but a nice play-call that confused the Sooner defense, drew Jones open in the back of the end zone, ...

Dogs have resolve but they’re running out of bodies
