Chelsea, a 7-year-old female Sumatran tiger, gave birth to two cubs July 5. Recently they were confirmed to be male and one female. The 7-week-old Sumatran tiger cubs have been named Sohni (female) and Sanjiv (male).

Zoo Atlanta held a birthday party for giant panda Mei Lan, who turned 2 on Saturday. The panda, who weighs about 115 pounds, got the royal treatment from the zoo and the large crowd.

Atlanta's baby panda now has a name.: Xi Lan (shee-lahn). Zoo Atlanta announced the name in a ceremony on Monday, when the cub turned 100 days old. Panda Lun Lun gave birth to the baby on Aug. 30.

The Elephants at Zoo Atlanta got some new enrichment courtesy of the Oakland Cemetery, which donated trees that were toppled in the March tornado.
