Here’s where you can exercise to Beyoncé and other cool themed workouts in Atlanta

When it comes to a workout playlist, students in classes around metro Atlanta may be at the mercy of their instructors' taste. But that doesn't mean you can't choose the genre they'll be listening to ahead of time. Check out these six fitness studios that are setting the beat with themed soundtracks.

Vibe Ride

950 W. Peachtree St. NW, No. 225, Atlanta. 470-309-0698. theviberide.com

Music is front-and-center at almost all of Vibe Ride's many offerings, with music video and "club-vibe" rides populating the weekly schedule. Pay close attention to the studio's specialty theme classes, which change often and can adhere to genre ("EDM vs. Pop," "Old-School Hip-Hop"), artist ("Madonna vs. Britney vs. Beyonce")  or fun themes like "Twerk Anthems." This midtown spot might be the most fun riders can have at a spin class, and with live DJ rides integrated into the schedule, the playlists constantly stays fresh.

Tough Love Yoga

1530 DeKalb Ave. NE, Atlanta. 404-919-1008. toughloveypga.com

Letting go of the day's stresses at yoga usually has connotations of light, peaceful music (or silence!) and an exceedingly calm atmosphere. Not so at Tough Love Yoga's popular Metal Yoga class, where you "Listen to metal. Do yoga. Melt Your face off in a very relaxing and healing way." The studio also offers other musical-themed classes, so keep an eye on the class schedule to drop in for one of the "Buddha-licious" '80s and '90s hip-hop jam sessions. At a $10 per class price point, it would be tough to find a better deal.

Cyc Fitness

3393 Peachtree Road, No. 2010, Atlanta. 404-698-4343. cycfitness.com

National chain Cyc paces most of its high-intensity cycling classes to the beat of a soundtrack, so the studio takes pride in the music playing through the speakers. Check the schedule for the latest news about rotating theme rides, which range from "I Love the '90s" to "#TBT" and "Usher, T-Pain & Sisqo." The studio is inside of the Lenox Mall gym The Forum, so plenty of parking and amenities await those who clip in and rock out.

FORM {yoga}

2752 E. Ponce De Leon Ave., Suite C, Decatur. 678-592-6850. formyoga.com

This Decatur studio names popular classes after the songs that inspire it. From an "Easy Like Sunday Morning" laid-back stretch class to a Shakira-inspired "Hips Don't Lie" course that strengthens the legs, feet and -- you guessed it -- the hips, there's something for everyone. Don't miss out on the"Face Down, Asana Up" hip-hop yoga class, a class that focuses on arm balances and inversions and flows to the beat of a hip-hop playlist.
