Within the last year, many of the conversations taking place in barbershop, restaurants, in churches and around the dinner table have touched on race.

Are we in a post-racial society? Are racial tensions on the rise?

Atlanta Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory will lead a workshop on "An Honest Look at Racism" from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 5 at Cathedral of Christ the King, 2699 Peachtree Rd.

In July, Gregory was appointed by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops to lead a special task force to promote peace and unity .

Speakers include will be two college professors, a trial lawyer and an immigration attorney. The workshop will also include presentations by four of local priests – Msgr. Daniel Stack, the Rev. Victor A. Galier, the Rev. Desmond W. Drummer and the Rev. Reybert Pineda Avellaneda.
