Aug. 5-8

The American Association of Diabetes Educators will host its 36th annual Meeting and Exhibition at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. Attendees can earn up to 22 continuing education credits; students are not eligible to earn credits. The cost to attend the event is $580 (members), $705 (new members), $730 (nonmembers) and $199 (students). Sept. 8-9

A medical-surgical nursing review for practice enhancement and a certification course will be at Piedmont Hospital (1968 Peachtree Road) in Atlanta. This two-day course is for nurses who are preparing to take certification exams as well as those who want to improve their knowledge. The event will be in classroom 7 on the sixth floor of the 77 building. The cost is $225 and includes course materials, light breakfast, light lunch and Georgia Nurses Association contact hours. Oct. 9-10

Atlanta Chapter of the Case Management Society of America will host its annual educational conference at the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park. The theme of the conference is “Expanding Your World — Case Management in Action.” The speakers will include Jeff Frater, RN, BSN, CCM, president of Case Management Society of America. Ten continuing education credits will be applied for through the Commission for Case Management Certification and the National Association of Social Workers. The cost of attending the conference is $85 for members ($95 after Sept. 9) and $95 for nonmembers ($105 after Sept. 9). Group rates are available for five or more attendees who register and pay in one mailing with one check; each attendee must complete a separate registration form.
