A congregational nurse preparation course will be held at St. Ignatius House in Atlanta. The retreat-style educational program is designed to prepare registered nurses to establish and grow a parish nurse/congregational, nurse-led health ministry within a faith community. The cost of the conference is $925. Meals, accommodations, course materials and curriculum are included. Forty Georgia Nurses Association contact hours are available. Sept. 8-9

A medical-surgical nursing review for practice enhancement and a certification course will be at Piedmont Hospital (1968 Peachtree Road) in Atlanta. This two-day course is for nurses who are preparing to take certification exams as well as those who want to improve their knowledge. The event will be in classroom 7 on the sixth floor of the 77 building. The cost is $225 and includes course materials, light breakfast, light lunch and GNA contact hours. Space is limited.
