“Identifying Injuries of Abuse Across the Lifespan” will be presented by the Conasauga Chapter of the Georgia Nurses Association at the Brown Conference Center at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton from 9 a.m. to noon. Nurses, elderly care personnel, personal care aids, emergency service workers, social workers, DFCS employees, law enforcement officers and public health workers are encouraged to attend. Northside Hospital will host its second annual oncology nursing symposium at The Crowne Plaza Ravinia Hotel (4355 Ashford-Dunwoody Road in Atlanta). The focus of the event will be “Merging High Tech and High Touch.” It will include presentations on cancer survivorship, complementary therapies, familial colorectal cancer, management of acute leukemia and stereotactic radiosurgery. Cost of the event is $40 before April 15, $50 after April 15 and $25 for students. Breakfast and lunch on both days and dinner on May 15 are included. Eleven contact hours have been applied for through the Georgia Nurses Association. To register, go to Northside Hospital.
