“Organ Donation: Bridging the Gap” will be presented by Gwinnett Medical Center from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Gwinnett Hospital System Resource Center (665 Duluth Highway, Lawrenceville). The event is designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners and other health care providers who are interested in organ donation. The cost is $40. “Critical Thinking at its Best: Reality Nursing” will be at Piedmont Hospital (1968 Peachtree Road, Atlanta) from 7 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. The annual medical-surgical conference will focus on professional practice, clinical practice and personal growth in today’s health care environment. “Knowledge Is Power,” a medical-surgical nursing conference, will be from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Peachtree City Christian Church (500 Kedron Drive in Peachtree City). The conference is sponsored by Piedmont Fayette Hospital. Cost is $50 if applications are postmarked by Feb. 3. Contact hours have been applied for.
