In December, construction will begin on a four-story building for the WellStar College of Health and Human Services at Kennesaw State University. The $60 million project includes 10 classrooms, 18 labs, four computer labs, five seminar rooms, a 230-seat auditorium, a research center and 120 faculty offices.

Kennesaw State produces one of every five Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduates in Georgia. Yet the college turns away more than 80 percent of qualified applicants because of classroom shortages.
