"The Link Between Patient Safety and Patient Outcomes" will be the topic of the 2008 Nursing Research Conference sponsored by the Center of Health and Living. The conference will be from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Rich Auditorium at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. Registration is $75 for the public and $25 for nursing students. A medical-surgical nursing review practice enhancement and certification course will be at Piedmont Hospital (1968 Peachtree Road in Atlanta.) The event will be in Classroom 7 on the sixth floor of the 77 Building. The cost is $225 and includes course materials, a light breakfast and a light lunch. A parish nurse preparation course, designed to enable registered nurses to start parish nursing programs and to care for congregants in their faith communities, will be at St. Ignatius House (6700 Riverside Drive in Atlanta). The cost for the program is $475; the first 20 nurses to register will pay $325 each. Credit for 40 Georgia Nurses Association contact hours will be available.
