"Medical-Surgical Nursing Review for Practice Enhancement and Certification" will be at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. This course is for nurses who are preparing to take certification exams as well as those who want to improve their general knowledge. "An Evidence-Based Practice Toolkit for Bedside Nurses," a nursing research conference, is jointly sponsored by WellStar Healthcare, Emory Healthcare and St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta. The event will be held at the WellStar Development Center in Atlanta from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Conference keynote speakers will be nurse researchers and authors Bernadette Melnyk and Tim Porter-O'Grady. The conference will engage direct-care nurses as well as nurse administrators, nurse managers, clinical nurse specialists, nurse educators and nurse researchers who are interested in conducting research and embracing evidence-based practice in clinical health care environments. The American Association of Occupational Health Nurses is hosting a leadership advancement conference at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Atlanta. The conference will offer learning and networking that focus on communication and leadership skills for health care professionals.
