Aundrea "Andi" Adams had been living in a townhome close to family in Lawrenceville. "But I'm a city girl," says Adams, sales and marketing rep for Piedmont Landscape, and she started looking for a home intown. "A friend was living here at the Heights at Perimeter Center, and he said it was perfect and that I had to come take a look. I fell 150 percent in love, put my deposit down that day and moved three weeks later."

Her apartment: Adams is renting a two-bedroom, two-bath roommate-plan unit. "I have a gourmet kitchen with the most incredible granite countertops, extremely tall cabinets in espresso, stainless-steel appliances and even a nook in the kitchen for my computer. There's a niche in the living room that was perfect for my large-screen TV, and a Juliet balcony and sunroom. I have a cool utility room off the kitchen for my washer and dryer, and the kitchen island gives you lots of extra counter space."

The amenities: "I use the workout room four to five days a week, and it's right in my building. If I had to get in the car to work out, I wouldn't do it. I use the pool, and I've even invited friends over for cocktails by the pool. When my computer went down, I went downstairs to the computer workstation and was able to do everything I needed to do."

Resident services: "We had a wine tasting which was a really classy event where we really got educated about different wines. There's a continental breakfast available five days a week, and I run downstairs for my cup of Starbucks coffee and see so many of my neighbors. We have valet trash service where they pick up your trash every evening.

The grounds: "They've done an excellent job on the landscaping. It's a pleasure for me to walk around the grounds with my cocker spaniel, Kaley. She loves it here!"
