Schafer injury of concern to Braves

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Saturday, July 04, 2009

Washington — Center fielder Jordan Schafer had to come out of a game for Gwinnett on Friday night in the fifth inning with a sore wrist, the same wrist that has bothered him since he injured it swinging in the Braves’ home opener April 10.

Schafer recently took two weeks off to rest it after the Braves sent him down to Gwinnett, but there is cause for concern now that he could be out for an extended period of time. He was scheduled to see a doctor early next week.
