CONDOMINIUM OF THE WEEK
'Tons of closet space' in three-level Alpharetta townhomeAfter three moves in 2 1/2 years, Michael and Shelly Morgan were ready to settle down. Michael says, "We sold our home in north Forsyth County and wanted to be closer to the city. We were looking for a condo, loft or townhome, and we looked everywhere from downtown Atlanta north. We looked at everything within a 10-mile radius of Alpharetta, and we kept coming back here, to Victoria Square." Michael, 42, is corporate controller for a local health care corporation and Shelly, 39, is an account executive for an insurance brokerage firm. They each work within two to three miles of their new home.
What they bought: The Morgans bought a three-bedroom, 3 1/2 bath three-story townhome. On the lower level, there's a two-car garage, sunroom and entertainment room with a full bath. The main level features a large open living area adjoining the breakfast area and kitchen, a formal dining room, another sunroom and a small deck. "Upstairs are two very large bedrooms and baths. There's tons of closet space in the whole place, which was a big thing for us," Michael says. "Because with a townhome we own the backyard, we were able to fence it for our dogs."

Deciding to buy: "We came looking when they first got started. Eventually this whole building was sold except this one unit. We made an offer and got it," Michael says.
The finishes: "The trim work is exceptional, there are really nice top-of-the-line light fixtures and faucets, we've got hardwood floors and stainless-steel appliances. The kitchen is beautifully laid out. Although this one looks like a townhome on the outside, on the inside it looks just like a beautiful house.
The location: "We're within walking distance of Wills Park, everything we need is nearby and we're close to Ga. 400. We're right in downtown historic Alpharetta."
