Our resident: Richanda Farrie and her sons Wayne, 6, and Ja'Juan, 4, are really enjoying their apartment at Fieldstone Glen in Jonesboro. "I love Jonesboro," Farrie says, "and these apartments are just three minutes from the expressway, so I'm able to get everywhere quickly. It only takes me 30 minutes to get to my job on Ga. 400." The 31-year-old works as a technical specialist for a printing company.

What she's renting: Farrie and her sons are in a two-bedroom, two-bath apartment with a roommate plan. The large living/dining/kitchen area is big enough to hold her living room and dining room furniture, and both bathrooms have garden tubs. Farrie says, "I looked at a nearby apartment complex, but I really liked the size of the rooms here and the whole setup. Our balcony overlooks the clubhouse and the front gate, and with my two boys, being on the ground level was the best choice. It's easy for them to play outside."

Getting there Directions from downtown Atlanta: Take I-75 south to Exit 231 (Mount Zion Boulevard). Turn right off the exit, then make a left onto Mount Zion Parkway. Community is 3/4 mile on the right, just past Mount Zion High School.

The boys love it: "The boys love this apartment. They've got bunk beds in their room and they've even got space to ride their scooters around the apartment," she says, smiling. "The apartments are really safe, so I feel comfortable when they're playing outside."

Her own garage: "We have our own one-car garages with automatic door openers. It's great because there's room for a car and storage, too."

Other things to like: "They put out a calendar each month of all the activities going on here. The Saturday morning brunch is one thing we've been able to get to."
