I plan on supplementing the candy I hand out with beard trimmings from my Norelco razor.

I have eliminated any kind of Halloween decor, I told my daughter that this year we would not get a new costume and that she had to use one of her princess dresses instead, and I have only purchased chocolate on mega sales (like BOGO). I am also utilizing coupons where I can.

The cost of candy, accompanied by the reduced size of the candy bar, is causing our family to give $1 bills instead of the more expensive candy. Gremlins will be held accountable this year and must provide the promised “trick’ before we treat

I only bought candy on sale and from the dollar store. Not as much as I usually buy, but beats a blank.

I’m giving out last year’s leftover candy that I bought the week after Halloween and leftover hard candies from my great aunt’s Christmas candy dish that I scooped up before we left her house last year. I also have a collection of shiny new pennies, acorns, pecans in the shell, McDonald’s ketchup packets, and tufts of dog hair that I’ll be putting in the goody bags.
