High Heel-adays
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Holiday season means holiday parties and that means high heels and lots of standing around.
It took a rocket scientist to come up one source of with relief for women’s tired feet.
Insolia Inserts cushion and redistribute weight from the ball of the foot to the heel to increase the time you can stand on your feet. The inserts are $10 at CVS.
What’s your secret to surviving the high heel holidays?

Getting so trashed that I don’t feel my feet until some time the next day…at least that’s what happened last year.

I survive the holidays by not wearing high heels. I refuse to wear any shoes with heels higher than 2 inches - guys don’t really care and why waste the money? The world of fashion does not care about me so why should I care about designers with no soul. No pun intended. No, I think I’ll keep it “green” and wear the same shoes I’ve worn at Christmas parties for the last 5 years. Check out my blog at southeastgreen.com

What does going green have to do with high heels? I can “go green” and wear the same high heels I wear every day if that’s the case. As for what they do for me? I feel confident in them. My legs look amazing in them. And I love the compliments I get. Vain or shallow? At times. And there are several websites and stores that sell “green” clothing and shoes. Check those out if you’re really feeling the need to help the enviroment. But honestly, I think you can go green in ways that will have more of an impact than switching your shoes!
