DEL.ICIO.UST.I. to “host” Thanksgiving for needy

Atlanta rapper-actor T.I. and his Grand Hustle K.I.N.G. Foundation are hosting Thanksgiving dinner for the needy Thursday.
But by “host”, we gather the press release announcing this effort meant, “financed.” T.I., as you may recall, is on bond and restricted to his lakefront Jonesboro home, after authorities said he illegally tried to buy machine guns and silencers last month. His charitable ways continue, however, with the dinner at his Club Crucial (2517 Donald Lee Hollowell Pkwy) from 6 to 9 p.m. . Plus, his label rep says he is donating 400 turkeys to the Atlanta Parks & Recreation Center, to distribute to Atlanta families.
And “T.I. has and continues to reach out to celebrity friends to help raise $150,000 for the Hosea Williams Feed the Hungry Thanksgiving Day Dinner Event.”

I think its really sad Sonia, that not only have I heard about TI’s even on V103 this morning but in the AJC. I’m all for presumed innocent, but you think what with Hosea’s feed the homeless and countless other charitable organizations helping to put a POSITIVE light on our black community, you would take time to highlight them rather than giving press/ink to someone who not only sounds uneducated when he speaks but clearly relies on the poor black community to support his grand lifestyle when half of them buy CDs and other items rather than paying their bills or child support.

you are a bunch of racist pigs! There were many, many interesting blogs on here NOT from the Afro American decent who had a different view point to share with with the rest of the public. It’s no wonder why your membership has gone down. You like it one sided and that’s it. TI is FELON!!! Why do you glorify him AJC. All he’s doing is giving dinner to a bunch of welfare thugs anyways. According to what I have read, this guy is a former crack dealer. He almost can’t do enough to repay for that in my opinion. He seems to have yet been living a thug lifestyle when he got popped for the weapons. I am happy he is being charitable. But, why is he such important news in the ATL???

The only reason that TI is doing that is he thinks that it is going to keep his butt out of prison. Lest we forget he was trying to purchase weapons and illegal silencers. When will it stop? First Vick now TI This is what happens when you take trash out the gutters and give it enormous salaries

is it just me, or does anyone else find it funny how the black man glorifies thugs like t.i. and vick, but couldn’t care less about the envioroment (look at marta stops, they are a trash can), teachers, well educated black men i.e. obama, oprah ect (not too many to choose from there now is there!), i’m sorry but the blacks have it all backwards…i don’t mind them, but can’t understand why they are the way they are and please don’t say “cause the white man” i’m sure educated blacks are put off by some of the remarks here. atlanta is a beautiful city but it get’s pulled down by our large thug population..wonder why.
