Pimento Cheese Fans
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Really, pimento cheese is hardly a rare item around these parts, but it seems not all pimento cheese is created equal.
I’m not a fan, so I’m hardly an expert.
Janice in Lilburn is having a devil of a time finding Palmetto Farms pimento cheese. She used to find it at the now-defunct Winn-Dixie and Save Rite.
Can anyone help?

I to am a fan of pimento cheese. I vividly reminder making p’cheese sandwiches as a youngster for my lunches or just a regular snack. I really haven’t noticed that it’s difficult to find. However, I do recognize that I cannot find another wonderful snack I enjoyed as a child and that is raisin bread with white icing on the crust. Someone please help me find that bread! I’ve talked about it so much with my kids they think I’m crazy.

make your own…1 lb of cheddar or colby cheese ground up, add 1 small jar of pimentos, drained and chopped into smaller pieces and mayonnaise add this until you get the consistancy and flavor you like. a little salt and let it sit for at least an hour in the fridge before you eat it. it just helps the flavors combine better…enjoy ! as for the raisin bread with the icing, i have seen similar at some ingles stores in the bakery department
