Emory's Stoll recognized by IOM
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Dr. Barbara J. Stoll, a pediatrician and neonatal researcher at Emory University and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, has been name one of 65 top national health scientists by the Institute of Medicine.
Election to the IOM is considered one of the highest honors in the areas of medicine and health. Members are selected based on their contributions to medical science, health care and public health.
Stoll, president of the Emory-Children's Center, has focused her research on low-birth weight and premature newborns, the epidemiology of neonatal infections and the global impact of those infections.
She is on the steering committee of the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development Neonatal Research Network.
