Conversations at The Carter Center: Mental health crisis

Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, founder of the Carter Center Mental Health Program, will provide opening remarks for "The Mental Health Crisis in Georgia," which is part of the 2009-2010 Conversations at The Carter Center series.  The event will be webcast live at 7 p.m. Feb. 16 on www.cartercenter.org.
The webcast will begin streaming at 6:55 p.m.
The event, which will be moderated by the center's Mental Health Program Director Dr. Thom Bornemann, will address the challenges facing the state's mental health system and outline possible solutions. Panelists include Charles Willis, of the Georgia Mental Health Consumer Network; Andrew Penn of the Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law; and Dr. John Gates, a board member of The Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregiving, Georgia Southwestern State University.
