Pounds lost: 43

Height: 5 feet 11 inches

How long he's kept it off: "I lost 47 pounds in one year around 2002 [on eDiets.com] and was down to 162 pounds. I kept the weight off until the birth of my child in 2004," he says. With a newborn, working out and eating right became difficult. Soon after, they sold their house and moved in with in-laws, making it harder to get back to his program. But now in their new home, Statham is losing the weight for a second time. Since January, he's lost 43 pounds and his goal is to weigh 160-165 pounds.

Personal life: Statham is a computer technology support manager. He lives with his wife, Karen; daughter, Kate; and two dogs and four cats. Statham and his family live in Powder Springs.

Turning point: He ran into a former boss who weighed more than 300 pounds but was quick to tell Statham, "Wow, you're fat." Statham knew it was time to make a change.

Diet plan: Statham follows the eDiets.com standard plan. Breakfast is six egg whites, with one whole egg, 1 cup of oatmeal, a quarter cup blueberries and a protein shake. For lunch, he'll eat 6 ounces of chicken breast, half a cup of rice and 1 cup of vegetables. In the afternoon, he has a snack of 3 ounces of turkey, a cup of yogurt and half a tablespoon of peanut butter. Dinner is usually 6 to 7 ounces of meat, half a cup of rice, a cup of vegetables, and a salad topped with oil and vinegar.

Exercise routine: Statham works out every morning in his home gym for an hour. He does 30 to 45 minutes of weight training and 15 to 30 minutes of cardio.

Biggest challenge: "Staying away from sweets," he says.

Munchie antidote: Although he doesn't get hungry the way he's set up his diet, he reaches for fruit or vegetables such as blueberries, apples or broccoli when he has the munchies.

Secret to success: "Staying on the plan and not being tempted," he says. "Many want to lose weight, but few have the discipline to do it."

How life has changed: "I have more energy and feel much better," he says. "I can actually fit back into my clothes."
