Setup: Lie on the floor with your knees bent and feet flat on the ground. Place your arms alongside your body.
Step 1: Slowly raise and lift both arms, your left shoulder and your upper torso toward the outside of your right knee. Make a tiny pulsating contraction five to 10 times.
Step 2: Slowly return to your starting position. This represents one repetition.
Fit tip: Exhale as you lift your upper torso. Continue to breathe throughout the pulsating action. Inhale as you return to the starting position.
Repetitions: Do five to 10 repetitions, alternating on each side. As you progress, work up to 10 to 20 repetitions.
